Arpine Martoyan known professionally as Maléna is an Armenian Singer-Songwriter. She was born in Yerevan on 10 of January in 2007. Malena started singing since she was 5. She started attending vocal classes when she was 6. She also studied in Sayat Nova musical school for seven years in Cello Class. In 2018 she participated in national selection for JESC but failed in first semifinal. In 2019 she signed a contract with label TKN Entertainment and started working with Armenian songwriter and producer tokionine.

In 2020 Maléna got selected to represent Armenia in JESC, but due the war ongoing Nagorno Karabakh country withdrew. Maléna released the single “Why” written by tokionine, which was meant to be for JESC 2020. In 2021 she released a duo with Russian well known singer and rapper Kristina Si “Chem haskanum”. The song goes viral and had a huge success and become a hit. After that she got selected for Junior Eurovision again and participated with song “Qami Qami” also written by tokionine and others including Maléna, which brought her a victory in JESC 2021.

“Qami Qami” was internally selected to represent Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris on 19 December, organised by France Télévisions and the European Broadcasting Union. The name of the song as well as its lyrics were revealed on 18 November, with the song itself released the next day.
